Failure. Missteps. Errors. Let’s face it, entrepreneurs, we’ve all had our share of fuck-ups

Startup founders are often perceived as energetic, optimistic individuals who keep others motivated about their visions, their startups, their potential game-changing ideas. And when they succeed, society celebrates their triumphs with immense fervor. But the truth is, these success stories make up a minute fraction of the entrepreneurial narrative. The vast majority of ventures face numerous setbacks, if not outright failure. Even the most successful entrepreneurs have stumbled more times than they might care to admit.

Take me, for example. As the founder and CEO of LoginRadius, I made a gazillion mistakes. The sheer magnitude of my missteps could be considered comical, if they weren’t so enlightening.

But why is it that we rarely discuss these errors openly? Why is our focus so heavily skewed towards the glamorous success stories, when we know that 98% of startups do not achieve their intended outcomes?

Failures, mistakes, blunders — whatever you want to call them — are an integral part of life. More importantly, they are an often under-acknowledged part of the entrepreneurial journey. I firmly believe that sharing these experiences can arm fellow entrepreneurs with the knowledge to sidestep similar pitfalls.

With this objective, I’ve decided to launch a newsletter dedicated exclusively to our missteps and miscalculations. I’ve fittingly named it “Founder Fuck-ups”. You can find the newsletter here on Substack or here on Linkedin.

In this newsletter, I will candidly share not only my own missteps but also delve into the stories of numerous startups that did not make it. I will engage with fellow entrepreneurs to shed light on their unglamorous yet invaluable fuck-up stories.

Stay tuned, my fellow founders. In the realm of entrepreneurship, failure is not the end but a stepping stone towards success. Let’s learn together from our collective fuck-ups!

Please subscribe to “Founder Fuck ups” here on Substack or here on Linkedin. Welcome to “Founder Fuck-ups”.
